Boote and Hartmann travel the world and investigate the effects of the palm oil industries in Indonesia, how oil spills in Louisiana have ruined shrimp catching, and so much more. They interview farmers, scientists, big company representatives and philosophers on their quest to find the truth behind the green lies. The film is an important study of how to become a conscious consumer, and how you can learn to understand the sustainability branding and green packaging.
